COP26 will host a new global dialogue on sustainable supply chains. This event is the public launch the Forest, Agriculture and Commodity Trade (FACT) Dialogue in partnership with key Government Ministers from producer countries and important stakeholders from business and civil society.
The FACT dialogue aims to shift the global production and trade in agricultural commodities away from deforestation towards sustainability. The Dialogue will convene government representatives from consumer and producer countries to identify, develop and implement collaborative actions that promote trade and development while protecting forests. This dialogue will be supported by a series of multi-stakeholder dialogues supported by the Tropical Forest Alliance which will be key to ensuring all voices are heard and real collective action is taken, to protect forests, enhance livelihoods and to promote development and trade.
